Billabong Off Road is licensed to operate in the State Forests as a commercial enterprise. We conduct tours for groups for the purpose of sightseeing and the identification of flora and fauna. Billabong Off Road is a corporate member of Tread Lightly and as such participates and supports the ideals and pledges.

Billabong Off Road has been in operation since 1987. We have been conducting Tag A Long Tours both locally and Australia wide since inception.

The driver training section of the company has been on going since 1992. In 1996 we received accreditation with local, state, and federal governments to deliver a nationally recognised training program developed by the Australian National Four Wheel Drive Council. To enable Billabong Off Road to deliver this course, all trainers were required to achieve the necessary qualifications as specified by the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA).

Billabong Off Road has enjoyed the pleasure of training numerous government departments including Emergency Services, Queensland Forestry, Corrective Services, Mining Companies, BCC, National Parks, QLD Rural Fire Services and of course, private citizens.

Billabong Off Road are the official driver trainers to the Variety Club of Queensland. Our involvement is very intense and our duties include safety, the environment, and the responsible and correct operation of an off road vehicle. We will be officiating and participating in the upcoming events.

The company uses four Toyota Landcruisers and a Nissan Patrol Wagon. As well as being representative of our business, each vehicle is optioned up fully. Whilst they are working vehicles, each one in itself is a show vehicle, used in all local and rural shows and off road expo's throughout Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
